Anti-virus and/or Anti-Spyware programs prevent update scripts from running on the database.

Backup and Reinstall with Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware Disabled

If the error is occurring on a network installation, these steps will need to be done on the machine with the Yearli Server installed.

  1. Close Yearli.
  2. Access the Microsoft SQL Server Configuration Manager.
  3. Click on SQL Server Services to display a list of the currently running services.
  4. Right click the corresponding the WinFiler or Yearli instance.*
  5. Click Stop.
  6. Navigate to the data directory for the software’s tax year.*
  7. Copy the Data folder to another location on the hard drive.
  8. Access the Microsoft SQL Server Configuration Manager.
  9. Right click on the corresponding Yearli instance*
  10. Click Start.
  11. Close the SQL Server Configuration Manager.
  12. Access the Windows Run window by pressing the Windows key and R key on the keyboard.
  13. Type "appwiz.cpl" without the quotes in the Open field.
  14. Click OK.
  15. Highlight Yearli for the specified tax year.
  16. Click Remove or Uninstall.
  17. Close out of Add or Remove Programs or Programs and Features and the Control Panel.
  18. Disable any anti-virus or anti-spyware programs.
  19. Reinstall Yearli.
  20. Open Yearli and apply any available updates.
    • For a network, run the online update from the server machine's desktop.
  21. Verify the data and import from the backup if necessary.
