How do I access SQL Server Configuration Manager?

Windows 10, 11, and Server 2016

  1. Click on the Start menu.
  2. Choose All Apps.
  3. Click on Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 (for WinFiler 2012 & 2013, WinFiler Plus 2013, or Yearli 2014 - 2017), Microsoft SQL Server 2014 (for Yearli 2018-2021), or Microsoft SQL Server 2019 (for Yearli 2022-current)
  4. Select SQL Server Configuration Manager. If SQL Server Configuration Manager is not listed, go to Procedure 2.

Windows 8 and Server 2012

  1. Press the Windows key on the keyboard to access the Start menu.
  2. Type the word "SQL" without the quotes.
  3. Click on Apps on the right.
  4. Select SQL Server Configuration from the list on the left. If SQL Server Configuration Manager is not listed, go to Procedure 2.

Windows 7

  1. Click on the Start menu.
  2. Choose All Programs or Programs.
  3. Click on Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 (for WinFiler 2012 & 2013, WinFiler Plus 2013, or Yearli 2014 - 2017) or click on Microsoft SQL Server 2014 (for Yearli 2018).
  4. Click on Configuration Tools.
  5. Select SQL Server Configuration Manager. If SQL Server Configuration Manager is not listed, go to Procedure 2.

All versions of Windows

  1. Navigate to C:\Windows\SysWOW64.
  2. Open the SQLServerManager10.msc file (for WinFiler 2012 & 2013, WinFiler Plus 2013, or Yearli 2014 - 2017) or SQLServerManager12.msc (for Yearli 2018).
