This error indicates insufficient user rights.
Verify Administrative Privileges
Local Administrator privileges are required when running or installing the Yearli software.
- Access the Windows Run window by pressing the Windows key and R key on the keyboard.
- Type "compmgmt.msc" without the quotes in the Open field.
- Click OK.
- In the Computer Management screen, expand Local Users and Groups.
- Click on Groups.
- In the list on the right double click on Administrators.
- Verify that the active user account is listed in the Members section.
Yearli must be installed to a local hard drive, and cannot be installed to a network drive.
Verify Registry Permissions
Making changes to the Window's registry keys can affect the operating system. It is recommended that you have an IT technician make these changes. It is also highly recommended to create a backup of the Window's registry prior to making any changes to it.
- Access the Windows Run window by pressing the Windows key and the R key on the keyboard.
- Type “regedit” without the quotes into the Open field.
- Click OK.
- Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software.
- Right click on the Greatland folder.
- If you have a 64-bit operating system, the Greatland folder will be in the Wow6432Node folder.
- Choose Permissions and verify the Full Control checkbox is checked under Allow for the user account in question.
- Apply changes if necessary.
Reinstall With Appropriate Administrative Rights
- Login as a local administrator on the machine.
- Reinstall the Yearli program as the local administrator.
Verify Group Policy and Network Rights for the User
It is recommend that an IT specialist perform the steps below. We suggest that this individual analyze the network for appropriate permissions policies.
- Access the Windows Run window by pressing the Windows key and the R key on the keyboard.
- Type "gpedit.msc" without the quotes into the Open field.
- Click OK.
- Verify that the user has sufficient permissions to open and install the program here.
