Changing the Server the Yearli Workstation Is Contacting
- Right click on the Yearli Workstation icon.
- Select Properties.
- In the Target line locate the name/IP Address of the previous machine and change to the new machine name/IP Address.
- Click OK to apply changes and close the Properties window.
Changing Registry Keys
Making changes to the Window's registry keys can affect the operating system. It is recommended that you have an IT technician make these changes. It is also highly recommended to create a backup of the Window's registry prior to making any changes to it.
Manually Change Registry Keys
- Access the Windows Run window by pressing the Windows key and R key on the keyboard.
- Type "regedit.exe" without the quotes in the Open field.
- Click OK.
- In the Registry Editor, locate the following registry key:
- If it is a 32-bit machine: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Greatland\Yearli\20XX, where XX is the year of the software*
- If it is a 64-bit machine: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Greatland\Yearli\20XX, where XX is the year of the software*
- On the right, locate the Server and Server Name keys.
- Double click on Server.
- Change the value to the new server name or IP address.
- Click OK.
- Double click on Server Name.
- Change the value to the new server name or IP address.
- Click OK.
*The registry key will differ depending on the version of the program. Please see the Important Program Directories and File Locations article for more information.
Uninstall and Reinstall to Change Registry Keys
Alternatively, the program can be uninstalled and reinstalled. Uninstalling the software will remove the registry keys and recreate them with the new value.
