How to Access SQL Server Configuration Manager

Windows 10, 11, and Server 2016

  1. Click on the Start menu.
  2. Choose All Apps.
  3. Click on Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 (for WinFiler 2012 & 2013, WinFiler Plus 2013, or Yearli 2014 - 2017), Microsoft SQL Server 2014 (for Yearli 2018-2021), or Microsoft SQL Server 2019 (for Yearli 2022-current).
  4. Select SQL Server Configuration Manager.

Windows 8 and Server 2012

  1. Press the Windows key on the keyboard to access the Start menu.
  2. Type the word "SQL" without the quotes.
  3. Click on Apps on the right.
  4. Select SQL Server Configuration from the list on the left.

Windows 7

  1. Click on the Start menu.
  2. Choose All Programs or Programs.
  3. Click on Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 (for WinFiler 2012 & 2013, WinFiler Plus 2013, or Yearli 2014 - 2017) or click on Microsoft SQL Server 2014 (for Yearli 2018).
  4. Click on Configuration Tools.
  5. Select SQL Server Configuration Manager.

All Versions of Windows

If the above steps for your operating system do not work, please follow the steps below.

  1. Navigate to C:\Windows\SysWOW64.
  2. Open the latest SQLServerManager file.
    • For WinFiler 2012 - 2013, WinFiler Plus 2013, or Yearli 2014 - 2017
      • Open the SQLServerManager10.msc file.
    • For Yearli 2018 - 2021
      • Open the SQLServerManager12.msc file.
    • For Yearli 2022- Present
      • Open the SQLServerManager15.msc file.
