My 941 form was rejected for an invalid PIN in Premier. What do I do?

To file a 941 form electronically requires an IRS issued PIN. The form could have been rejected for one of two reasons:

  • The PIN entered on the form does not match what the IRS has on record for the EIN.
  • There is no PIN assigned to the EIN entered on the form.

Verify the PIN entered

If you are certain that a PIN was applied for and assigned to the EIN, please contact the IRS at 1-866-255-0654 to verify the validity of the PIN entered.

Apply for a PIN

If a PIN was not applied for and assigned to the EIN, please submit a PIN application to the IRS. This can be completed for an Employer PIN, free of charge, on Yearli. A Reporting Agent PIN will need to be applied for directly with the IRS.
