Handle 0 not valid

This error occurs in Windows when the user has the User Account Control setting turned on.

Disable User Account Control settings - Windows Vista

  1. Click on the Start menu. 
  2. Open Control Panel.
  3. Open User Accounts.
  4. Click Turn User Account Control on or off.
  5. Uncheck the Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer checkbox. 
  6. Click OK.
  7. Restart the computer.

Disable User Account Control settings - Windows 7, 8 and 10

  1. Access the Windows Run window by pressing the Windows key and R key on the keyboard.
  2. Type "useraccountcontrolsettings" without the quotes in the Open field.
  3. Click OK. 
  4. Drag the slider to the Never Notify option.
  5. Click OK.
  6. If using Windows 7, restart the machine.
