How do I complete a state reconciliation form when e-filing W-2 forms?

Completing a state reconciliation form for a W-2 filing

  1. Click on the E-file Center button.

Note:  The Yearli program will check for any available updates.  If updates are found they will need to be applied before continuing with the e-file process.

  1. Choose the Form W-2 option.
  2. Click Next.
  3. Choose a service that includes state e-filing.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Choose the employment type of the W-2s to be filed.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Choose the state(s) that the W-2 forms will be filed to.
  8. Click Next.
  9. Choose the Payer(s) to be filed.
  10. Click Next.
  11. Choose the Payer(s) to be filed to the state.  If multiple states were selected click on the state tab to select the Payer(s) for each state.
  12. Click Next.
  13. At the E-file Center - Reconciliations screen highlight the Payer.
  14. Click on the Complete Reconciliation button.
  15. The state reconciliation form will display.
  16. Verify the information entered here and complete as needed.
  17. Click OK to save and close the reconciliation form.
  18. Click Yes at the prompt to confirm.
  19. Repeat steps 15 through 20 for any additional Payers.
  20. The Next button will become active once the state reconciliation forms have been completed for each Payer.
  21. Click Next.

Note:  The program will validate the data entered on the forms.  If any errors are found they are displayed in an Error Detail.  These errors will need to be resolved before the forms can be e-filed.

  1. Check the I agree to Terms & Conditions box.
  2. Click Next.
  3. Enter the applicable payment information.
  4. Click Send.
