1095-C importing tips and tricks

Line 14 Tips

  • Enter data in either the All 12 Month Offer of Coverage column or in the individual monthly columns.  Do not enter data in both all 12 months and the individual monthly columns for the same recipient.
  • When entering the code, use an upper case letter.  For example, use "1B' instead of "1b". 

Line 15 Tips

  • If a code is entered on line 14 in the All 12 Month Offer of Coverage column, the dollar value on line 15 must be entered in the Employee Share for All 12 Months column in the import file for that recipient.

Line 16 Tips

  • Enter data in either the Safe Harbor Code for All 12 Month or in the individual monthly columns.  Do not enter data in both all 12 months and the individual monthly columns for the same recipient.
  • When entering the code, use an upper case letter.  For example, use "2A' instead of "2a".
